Popping in with a fun card that I made for this week’s Tuesday Trigger: Scene in Tangerine. I was drawn to the color scheme and the pieces of rickrack made me think of triangles, so I started playing with my Lawn Fawn patterned papers and Sketched Shapes sentiment by PTI…and this card was born.
I snagged those triangle Nestabilities ages ago on clearance at my LSS, and I am so happy to finally be putting them to use! Heading out now to make some more cards before bed…
XO,
Suzanne
I was in my craft room and found this sheet of Cosmo Cricket stickers. I’ve had them for a while, and thought I should try to use them up if I am going to justify hauling more crafty supplies into the house anytime soon.
I noticed the camera sticker right away and thought it was a good fit for the Moxie Fab Camera Craze challenge ending soon. So I went to work, using some pinstriped paper from Little Yellow Bicycle, polka dotted paper from My Minds Eye, and some Mama Elephant stamps.
I won’t tell you how long this card took me to make, but it was enough time for the hubby to take a very long nap and for me to screw up enough versions of the card that there are hardly any stickers left on the sheet. Mission accomplished, I guess!
xoxo,
Suzanne
Supplies: Stamps: Mama Elephant; Paper: cardstock (Bazzill, PTI), stripes (Little Yellow Bicycle), dotted (My Minds Eye); Ink: A Muse;
Other: My Minds Eye enamel dots, Tim Holtz Mini Fastener, Cosmo Cricket stickers.
Tonight I made a quick CAS card using one of my most fave Wplus9 sets: Classic Christmas. I heat embossed the sentiment onto that awesome blue cardstock and layered some embossed squares (that I layered over one another so that the dot pattern would remain seamless) so I could enter this into the Square Punch Challenge over at the Moxie Fab World blog.
The flair button comes from Basic Grey’s Aspen Frost collection. The colors are so fun for Christmas and I might need to play with these some more! These would be easy to mass produce for the holidays…
Thanks so much for stopping by!

P.P.S. The peek for this month’s Cloud9 Blog Hop, for fans of Wplus9, will be available tomorrow!
How was everyone’s weekend? I have to tell you that these last few hours of crafting were the highlight, since some mechanical issues with my airplane ended up forcing me to cancel my trip to see Laurie. It’s all good though because I am sure we can reschedule some other time.
One of her fabulous cards is the inspiration for this week’s Retrosketches Challenge, and I made three CAS cards for it. On my card above, I used Fresh Blooms from Neat and Tangled, along with some Bazzill paper, my WPlus9 dies and my SU! chevron embossing folder.
For my next two cards, I used the repeat stamping technique and I am entering them into the Moxie Fab World’s Repetition Challenge. On both cards I used stamps from A Muse Studio, and veered from the original Retrosketch sketch just a tad…
That’s the new SU! Real Red inkpad in action. I am in love with it, and with how well it matches that Sparklet!
With this last card, I was also inspired by “ombre” and used light to darker shades of blue down the panel for the repeat stamping, and then the background was stamped using the lightest shade. I went with the green ribbon for a pop of a different color and added some Stickles to the dots in the image along the right side of the card.
Thanks for stopping by! See you soon.
Hope you’ve all enjoyed the weekend! I’ve seen a lot of Halloween cards in blogland lately and thought I should get started on mine too, so I inked up my Hero Arts spiderweb background stamp and stamped it onto pebble cardstock; after that I added the glittery spider sticker, stamped the sentiment…then called it a day! I am going to enter this into the Moxie Fab World Focal Point Challenge too.
Thanks for stopping by!
Supplies: Stamps: Hero Arts spider web, A Muse Studio sentiment; Paper: A Muse Studio; Ink: A Muse Studio Seattle and Orange; Other: Jolee’s sticker
I’m entering this into the Doilies and Lace Challenge on the MFW Blog at nearly the last minute! I wanted to play around some more with some of my newer stamps, so I broke out my Waltzingmouse sentiments and my doilies from WPlus9 to make this card.
I started by stamping the grid lines from A Muse studio across the bottom of the card in amethyst ink onto some of their amethyst cardstock, masking the edge where the Hero Arts lace trim was to be placed. I then reversed the mask and spritzed the top with some yellow Mr. Huey’s. Next I stamped the tag diecut from WPlus9 with the doily and sentiment, adding some matching floss and the Basic Grey button to finish it off. And you know how much I love a rounded corner…
I’m thinking I need to use purple and pastels more often!
This week’s Tuesday Trigger on the Moxie Fab World Blog really caught my eye, so I drummed up the idea for this card on the way home from work the other night. I really love how these Thickers letter stickers look on this card, which ended up being 5.25″ square, big for me! Here is the inspiration photo:
What are your plans for the weekend? I’m getting a haircut and running a very first A Muse Studio party at Jessica’s; hoping to have a ton of fun with everyone!

Here’s proof that I must have been drunk or completely delusional on October 3, 2011. Unlike most people I’ve talked to about this, I didn’t even have to go back to the beginning of this blog to find my ugliest of ugly cards! Have pity on me!!!

Here’s a quick card that was inspired by one of the pins over in the Moxie Fab World Card Play Challenge post this week…using more gingham paper from A Muse Studio, some Sizzix die cut letters, Verve die cut hearts, alpha stickers, and some fabulous black saddle stitch ribbon!
Thanks for looking! Have a great night!
Hi everyone!
I made two cards for the Moxie Fab World’s Horizontal Sketch Challenge, which features my dear friend Christina MacLaren! Run on over and take a look and join in on the fun!
Here are my takes on this sketch using patterned papers from Crate Paper, a beautiful plastic die cut flower from Jenni Bowlin, a wooden button from Pebbles, and two different Verve sentiements:
I love how these turned out, and how they’re increasing my stockpile of Fall cards! Sorry to be slacking in the blog department lately, but my lung cancer 5K is on the 25th and we’re in crunch time getting everything prepped. I will be back soon with lots more fun stuff to share! Have a great day!
